Drama and trauma therapy

EDP knows that giving youth the opportunity for self-expression and creativity supports mental health and builds self-confidence.

Educational drama

EDP performs educational dramas in refugee camps to inform people and provide a platform to discuss important issues such as child marriage, gender-based violence, substance misuse, tribalism and health. Drama is effective in reaching people who mistrust authority and may have low levels of literacy. EDP also creates participant theatre, where the audience are able to explore solutions to the problems they face.

Drama therapy

Drama is a proven method of therapy for people to work through trauma, build resilience and create positive relationships. EDP uses drama to create safe spaces for young people to question responses to different situations, express themselves and share how they feel.
