Teacher training and school support
Access to effective education is essential to build a peaceful and more prosperous future. EDP trains refugees as teachers, builds schools in refugee camps and provides learning materials for students.
Teacher training
EDP has trained over 500 teachers since 2014. Training focuses on effective teaching in low-resource contexts, developing a strong literacy and numeracy foundation, student-centred learning, positive classroom management techniques and building a love of life-long education.
School support
EDP raises funds to build classrooms and provide learning materials in refugee camps. Few refugees in Sudan and South Sudan can afford to attend school outside the camps and there is no other organisation providing education inside the camps. EDP supports refugees to deliver education to their communities.
